Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has already suggested a legal challenge from Democrats should the president make an emergency declaration. "We will review our options and prepare to respond to it," she told reporters on Thursday.
"I know the Republicans have some unease about it, no matter what they say.
"If the president can declare an emergency on something that he has created as an 'emergency', an illusion that he wants to convey, then think of what a president with different values can present to the American people."
THIS IS INSANE. He has fabricated an "emergency" and is making the MOST authoritarian move in order to get the thing that HE wants. The majority of America does NOT want a wall and does NOT think that funds should be allocated to fund it. And NOW funds will be funneled from another department for his EGO. AGHHHH!!
We needed more border security in that we need the points of entry better equipped with technology and employees to stop drugs coming in from the ACTUAL PLACE THEY'RE ENTERING THE COUNTRY. As for people entering "illegally" and murdering Americans.... Stop it. If it happens, that is legitimately upsetting. But, it is not at a high enough rate to warrant billions of dollars being put toward a symbolic hate monument. Period.
